Give Them What They are Looking For!

Your Webpage Must Contain Searched Information, Pain Relievers and Cal

September 3, 2021

Almost 100% of your customers will arrive at your webpage from other sources such as a Google Search or a link in your Google My Business (GMB). These potential new customers are arriving at your site looking for the right company and there are many things that they need to see immediately on the Home Page of your website. If any of this is missing, they can easily search again and look for this information elsewhere. Internet customers are not patient!

Display your services and availability: You must immediately let them know that you are a match to their search. Your services must be clearly listed, preferably in bullet form so your customers know that you offer what they are looking for. Next up you must readily let them know your business hours and what local areas you service, so your customers know that they still have found good match. And finally, your phone number (with a “Call Now!” next to it) and contact us information must be readily available.

Build confidence with “pain relievers”: You can greatly enhance the chances that your customers will contact you with pain relievers.  These include “family owned”, “30 years in business”, “veteran owned”, “awards and certifications”, “specials or deals”, “testimonials”, and most of all an “About Us” button to the right of the Home button. The About Us button is clicked 3X more often than any other button on your website (your customers clearly want to know who they are dealing with). Note: Our writers can put you in the best light, just give us a call.

A summary of the things that should be present on your home page is given below: If any of this is missing, you can be losing customers. If your customers can’t quickly decide if you’re a good match to their search along with an easy way for them to contact you, they won’t stay long.

  • Areas Serviced
  • Your Services Offered
  • Hours of Operation
  • Phone Number (along with Call Now!)
  • Calls to Action
  • Awards & Certifications
  • Number of Years in Business
  • Testimonials
  • About Us Section / Paragraph About Yourself or Your Team
  • Contact Us Form
  • Social Media Links

If any of the above is missing from your site, you are losing out on potential revenue. According to researchers at Swinburne University, you have about 1/20th of a second to make a good first impression when new users land on your site. If information is not prominent and readily available, you’re not in the game.

As you can see, there are a lot of variables and little details that go into correctly optimizing your home page. This is where our team comes into play - Give our Support Team a call at (949) 478-6887 today to discuss how your website can better be optimized for potential clients.
